“C|NET raised the topic of software indemnities yesterday.
Charles Cooper wrote about it in his column ‘Who’s liable for
Linux…?’

“Cooper leads with the line: ‘It’s the next big Linux
controversy: Who should be liable if customers wind up using
software that was created from misappropriated intellectual
property?’ From the very outset, he’d obviously hoped to create a
self-fulfilling prophecy by leading lots of easily influenced IT
managers into asking this in planning meetings.

“But asking this question amounts to skulking behind SCO’s antic
CEO Darl McBride while he pours beer down Linux’s leg, then joining
a chorus with Darl to tell Linux that it’s raining–as the Vole
nods approvingly…”
