DVDs.”

“Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge William Elfving denied
a request for a temporary restraining order by the DVD Copy Control
Association to not only ban sites from posting the software, but
also to prevent other sites from linking to them….”

Linux enthusiasts claim the code was not meant to
facilitate illegal copying or to disseminate copyrighted material.
A DVD need not be decoded to be copied, the courtroom protesters
pointed out.
