Segment Two- The SUN SEC Filing– Sell Out or
much a-do about nothing?

We are thrilled tonight to joined tonight by Manish Punjabi,
Group Marketing Manager of StarOffice at Sun Microsystems. As you
must know by now there is a bit (small) of a controversy by some in
the community claiming that SUN has “sold out” the Open Office
project. Well we are going to address this controversy head on and
have invited a representative of Open Office and Sun to join us. No
one from the project can make the short notice, but we were lucky
enough to get Manish to join us to explain the SUN perspective on
this issue.

Manish Punjabi is responsible for marketing StarOffice and
OpenOffice.org products. Prior to his current role, Manish was
responsible for marketing Sun’s Network Identity, Communication and
Portal Server products to key industry verticals and OEM markets.
He works closely with Sun’s sales organization on strategic
accounts and develops the value proposition for customers based on
their business and technical requirements.

Before joining Sun Microsystems, Manish launched a venture
capital backed venture, Quamba. Quamba delivered remote managed
testing and monitoring services to high-traffic web sites. Earlier
work experience includes various software development positions
encompassing the design and implementation of X-window applications
in the Unix environment.

Manish speaks frequently at trade shows and industry conferences
on network computing trends. Manish holds an M.B.A from Wharton at
The University of Pennsylvania, a M.S. in Computer Science at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison and B.A. in Computer Science,
Physics and Mathematics at Ohio Wesleyan University.
