The first commercially available Ubuntu Phone debuted in Europe back in February of this year from phone vendor BQ. The new phone in China is built by Meizu and is described by Shuttleworth as being a high-end phone with a faster processor and a larger screen. Shuttleworth said that he was delighted and surprised that the Meizu Ubuntu Phone is now available in China. He noted that the announcement was pushed up by several months due to demand and developer interest.
