“In recent years, Visual SlickEdit has won several awards,
including those from PCWeek, Software Development, and Windows
Magazine. Nonetheless, I’ve had to ask myself, “Do we really need
another editor?”

“My skepticism subsided as I began using Visual SlickEdit 5.0.
I found it to be a high-quality product, specifically tailored
for programming. It allows you to work more efficiently and
productively, and is worth installing.

“One of the strengths of Visual SlickEdit is the number of
operating system platforms on which it can run. I reviewed the
Linux version; there are also versions for the Windows platform (9x
and NT), and most UNIX implementations (including SCO, Sun, HP, and
AIX).”
