“Overall, the Vorticon is a very nice machine, but is
it worth plunking down your hard-earned cash?In my opinion, unless you derive pleasure from building your own
machine, it definitely is. Even with shipping and handling, you’ll
probably save a few bucks on the hardware and get support to boot.
If I were in the market for a new machine, I’d buy this machine in
a heartbeat. Actually, despite the fact that I already have more
machines than I need, I seriously considered buying the review
machine. If you’re in the market for a new Linux workstation or desktop
machine, take a serious look at the Vorticon. It might be more
muscle than you need for simple browsing or desktop use, but if
you’re doing development or anything that requires serious speed,
this is a great way to go. If the Vorticon is more muscle than you
need, Pogo also does custom orders and has less expensive single
CPU Intel and Athlon machines.”
