VNUNet: IBM woos small firms with free Linux development kit

“IBM is releasing a free application developers kit for
creating Linux ebusiness applications
as part of its effort to
promote Linux use among small and medium-sized businesses.”

“The scheme, which will be unveiled at LinuxWorld in New York,
also consists of support and marketing incentives for commercial
software developers in the price conscious small business
market.”

“Each kit distributed by IBM and Caldera Systems will contain
IBM software to run on the open source operating system, including
the DB2 database, Websphere application server, Lotus Domino, the
IBM developer kit, and Visualage for Java.”
