Will the Real LinuxHQ Please Stand Up?

On September 8th, 1997, the world was
informed
that the maintainer of the LinuxHQ website, Mark
Evans, was quitting his role. Jim Pick stepped up to the challenge
of taking over as maintainer, while apparantly Mark kept ownership
of the domain.

This worked out well for almost two years, until a few weeks ago
Jim announced
that the LinuxHQ.com domain had been pulled out from under him with
explanation. Jim subsequently registered a new domain to house the
LinuxHQ site, and called it Kernelnotes.org.

Today we find that the LinuxHQ.com website is active again,
this time under the original management of Mark Evans, returned
from his two-year hiatus. Where has he been for the past two years,
and why has he suddenly returned to take over LinuxHQ.com? His
welcome-back
announcement
states that “…My philosophy has always been, If
you’re going to do something, do it right!. Given this, I have
decided to start maintaining the site again, giving it the quality
it once had in its original day….”

So now we have kernelnotes.org and linuxhq.com, both fulfilling
the same function. Will the real Linux HQ please
stand up?
