“The fourth (and final) pre-4.0 snapshot of XFree86 is now
available (as of 22 February 2000). This snapshot version is
3.9.18. We are planning to release 4.0 in early March 2000.”
“The snapshots are initialy available in source form only, but
binaries for some platforms may be made available later (please
don’t ask us when; they’ll be there when they’re ready).”
