“Corel this month added more powerful imaging tools to its
arsenal with the acquisition of three MetaCreations graphics lines:
MetaCreations Painter, Bryce and KPT.”

“By acquiring these design tools, Corel is able to prove to its
Macintosh users that it can — and does — provide excellent tools
for their professional needs. With the added support of the
MetaCreations developers with whom Corel has contracted, the influx
of development on the Macintosh platform, and the wealth of
knowledge and technology Corel is adding to its team, professional
Mac products will again flourish for Corel and its users.”

“Not only will Macintosh users benefit from new versions of
Corel products and existing MetaCreations software, Corel customers
will enjoy greater reach when buying their tools online. Corel
plans to market these new tools aggressively to Web customers
through various Electronic Software Download (ESD) models, sales
and online promotions.”
