ZDNet: Evan Leibovitch — Bring down the barriers

“Road barriers, police “Do not cross” tape and pylons
complete with flashing yellow warning lights lined the inside of
the Palmer Auditorium in Austin, Texas on June 30 and July 1. It
seemed a very odd choice of decor for the Open Source Forum,
a
two-day blend of open source advocates and corporate IT decision
makers.

was designed to bring together the salesmen and the skeptics in an
effort to push Linux and open source software into the
mainstream.”
