ATI Technologies has announced official support for the
Linux operating system and is releasing programming specifications
for its Rage 3D graphics chips line.

“The company already has open source support for its 2D products
through the not-for-profit organisation Xfree 86. It is expanding
this support to include 3D development for the Rage Pro and Rage
128 product families and is also releasing video capture and
TV-Tuner multimedia development information for the Rage II, Rage
Pro and Rage 128 product families.”
