“Cygnus Solutions, maker of commercial software tools for open
source code development, will provide Corel with its GnuPro
technology to move Corel applications to Linux.”

“The availability of modified GnuPro tools from Cygnus means
Corel will gain enhanced compatibility with Windows-based
compilers, allowing users to recompile existing application code
with minimal changes. Corel also will gain support for Microsoft’s
Common Object Model table format, which will speed application
conversion.”

“The modified tools will help Windows application developers, in
general, move their code more readily to Linux, Cygnus officials
said.”
