In 2017, there was one area of conversation in the cloud landscape that dominated nearly all others – the rise of Kubernetes. 

Kubernetes didn’t get started in 2017, its’ roots go back to Google which first publicly released the open-source code for the project in 2014. 2017 was however the year when Kubernetes adoption expanded, with nearly every major IT vendor now backing the platform, even one-time rivals like Docker Inc.
