“Alpha Processor, Inc., (API), architects of high-performance
solutions, today announced the API PowerRAC Chassis 320, a robust,
high-density packaging option for its high-performance UP2000
motherboard. The combination of the UP2000 and the PowerRAC
Chassis is ideal for high performance Linux clusters, DCC render
farms and other application areas where footprint and performance
are critical requirements.

“API, along with its partners, debuted six fully configured
PowerRAC Chassis servers last week on the show floor of
SuperComputing `99 in Portland, OR. In addition, the product was
unveiled to API’s partners at the company’s Worldwide Sales
Conference the week of November 8….”

“Supporting the leading Linux distributions, the API PowerRAC
Chassis 320 has been tested with scores of available Linux
applications, development tools and server products — including
the Apache Web server, which powers 57% of Linux-based Web sites
worldwide.”
