BW: Computone Signs International Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro…

“Computone Corporation (OTC BB: CMPT) today announced that its
full line of communications servers and multiport boards is now
being distributed by Ingram Micro Inc.(NYSE: IM), the world’s
largest wholesale provider of technology products and services.

Perry Pickerign, Computone’s president and CEO, said Ingram
Micro is carrying its connectivity products and remote access
communications servers. Computone products are used with the
Internet, run on platforms including Windows NT(R), Linux(R)
(including the popular RedHat(R) and Caldera(R) versions), SCO(R)
OpenServer(R) and UnixWare(R), Sun(R) Solaris(R), and
Interactive(R), and in e-commerce, healthcare, retail and
point-of-sale, banking and financial, telecommunications,
transportation, hospitality, education, and other
applications.”

” ‘Having Computone products represented by Ingram Micro —
which sells to more than 140,000 resellers in 130 countries — adds
significantly to our distribution strategy and coverage,’ said
Pickerign. ‘Since the early 1980s, Computone has set standards in
engineering and building technology products used globally. By
partnering with Ingram Micro, Computone products will receive even
greater exposure, which we believe will continue the upward trend
of our worldwide sales.’ He said two products which Computone
just began shipping — the IntelliPort Plus ISA 4 RJ, a multiport
board offering speeds up to 921 Kbps, and its line of high
performance Gold Card RS-232 serial PCI controllers with Linux
device drivers — are both immediately available through Ingram
Micro.”
