Canonical and Cisco Join Efforts on Policy-Based OpenStack Clouds

Cisco has developed the Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and it will now join the Ubuntu Cloud OpenStack Interoperability Lab (OIL).

Its application policy will be implementation as part of Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) and OpenStack Group Based Policy (GBP). The ultimate goal of both IT companies is to deliver application policies to simplify management and improve performance of private clouds, making it easier for users to deploy and use private clouds powered by the aforementioned technologies.
