XPS Now Available to Linux Users.

“Informix Software, the database company, a subsidiary of
Informix Corporation, has introduced a developer’s edition of its
Informix Extended Parallel Server (XPS) Version 8.31 for the Linux
platform, meeting user demand to make the powerful data-management
functionality of XPS available on the increasingly popular
operating system.”

“The release of the developer’s edition enables Linux users to
build custom applications that take full advantage of the features
of XPS, including its unlimited scalability, superior data loading
and query performance, advanced data-warehousing capabilities, and
simplified Web-based administration tools.”

“XPS has long been the preferred choice of large organizations
that require extensive data management, complex querying and
unlimited scalability,” said Jim Foy, president of Informix
Software. “With this introduction of the developer’s edition for
