Enterprise Linux Today: MSC.Software Announces Enhanced Supercomputing

“April Release of MSC.Linux Features Complete OSCAR
Integration.”

“MSC.Linux, a division of MSC.Software Corp., an established
information technology software and services provider, announced
the availability of MSC.Linux V2001 (April) Beta. A major feature
of the April release is the complete integration of OSCAR (Open
Source Cluster Application Resources).”

“Currently available as a developer’s release, OSCAR is
developed by the Open Cluster Group (www.OpenClusterGroup.org) led
by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), the University of
Illinois’ National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA),
IBM and Intel. MSC.Software, a founding member of the team, is the
technical lead for the programming environment. Other collaborators
in the Open Cluster Group include Dell, SGI and Veridian.”
