“And of course there’s the upgrade headache. buildout
never works as advertised. If you have a moderate amount of add-ons
installed, prepare to be suprised. You’ll get a nasty shock when
you discover that if one of your module is incompatible with the
latest stable release, and it will cause your whole Plone instance
to borked. Running buildout -n looks like a heaven-sent solutions
for upgrades, similar to apt-get, but 90% of the time it will break
your existing installation when just one of your installed add-ons
is still not updated by the author.”
