“Startup SteelEye Technology Inc. last week shipped the first
Linux version of its high-availability software, and an investment
from leading Linux distributor Red Hat Inc. may be imminent.
SteelEye is already financed by venture-capital firm Venrock
Associates and the Intel 64 fund, which backs startups whose
technology may boost sales of Intel’s new 64-bit chips.”

“LifeKeeper for Linux 3.0 lets companies cluster as many as

users can continue writing to a data source even if a system
crashes.
The software is priced at $2,995 for two servers,
plus $1,500 for each additional server.”
