“Inching along in its ‘pay as you grow’ computing strategy, IBM
has built a new server that uses four Intel processors and scales
up to 32 processors in an eight-chassis configuration.

“The box is built to scale for environments that require
‘always-on’ computing for industries such as financial services,
government and healthcare. The x460 can handle virtualization
applications from VMware, as well as ERP, CRM and database software
from companies like SAP and Oracle…”
