First off, it appears that Kdenlive 17.04 will be the next major release of the application, as the developers have revealed in the announcement, where they’re proud to announce the initial implementation of the Advanced Trimming Tools, which requires them to revamp the timeline a little bit. The list of new features continues with a bunch of enhancements to the Projects component, among which we can mention support for custom cache folders and improvements to portable projects. On the other hand, the Library component got a couple of changes too, especially for handling of image sequences and library clips with multiple tracks.
