The Document Foundation officially released Version 4.3 of the LibreOffice open-source office productivity tools suite July 30, providing users with a host of incremental updates. The 4.3 release is the second major update for LibreOffice in 2014 so far, following the 4.2 release that debuted on Jan. 30. LibreOffice is a project that originally started in 2010 as a fork of the OpenOffice.org open-source office suite. It has since taken its own path, focused on improving the user experience, performance and interoperability with other office suites.
