Linux boosts Stock Exchange trading speeds

“As reported by Computerworld UK, the London Stock Exchange
(LSE) has announced that its new Linux based system will achieve
world record breaking trading speeds. If scheduled dress rehearsals
go well and LSE’s customers are able to integrate their systems
successfully, the exchange is due to switch over from current
Microsoft .NET technology to the new Linux system on the 1st of
November. Recent tests at the LSE have reportedly gone very
smoothly and any problems found are usually with customers
systems.”
