LinuxPR: Jungo Announces Compact PCI “Hot Swap” capabilities for Linux.

These tools enable hardware vendors to implement the
Compact PCI “Hot-Swap” capabilities on Linux and most operating
systems.

“Jungo Ltd. announced the upcoming Beta version release of “Go
Hot-Swap” – an extension to the Linux operating system. This
enables “Hot Swap” capabilities on Linux as well as on Windows 9x ,
NT,2000, CE, NT Embedded, Solaris and VxWorks operating
systems.”

“The Compact PCI is a high performance bus based on the standard
PCI electrical specification, which includes the “Hot-Swap”
facility, which allows insertion and removal of Compact PCI cards
into a platform, while the system is running. This reduces the
system downtime, which may be critical in areas such as the
communication infrastructure market.”
