“TurboLinux, Inc., the high-performance Linux company, today
announced an alliance with Compaq Computer Corp. (NYSE:CPQ) to
provide support and services for enterprise users worldwide of the
TurboLinux operating system on Compaq hardware platforms.”

“Under the agreement, Compaq’s Customer Services
organization and Authorized Service Subcontractors, which serve
hundreds of thousands of organizations in more than 200 countries
worldwide, will offer the full range of Compaq services offerings
for TurboLinux products on all Compaq platforms. TurboLinux will
train Compaq personnel and provide escalation support assistance to
Compaq engineers.”

“With our product focus on the demanding requirements of
enterprise Linux users, we are pleased to add the global reach and
expert depth of Compaq’s service offerings to deliver our customers
complete IT solutions,” said T. Paul Thomas, president and CEO of
TurboLinux.”
