Linux and Spreadsheets for Linux. The software solutions were
introduced today in conjunction with the launch of the new
company.”
“The primary product in the new line is Applixware Office for
Linux, v5.0. This is the company’s premier offering and includes
Words (a full featured word processor), Graphics (a combined vector
and bitmap drawing tool), Presents (for creating presentation slide
shows), Spreadsheets (a robust and high performance spreadsheet),
Mail (email client) and Data (a graphical relational database). The
suite includes an extensive filtering capability which enables
document exchange with Microsoft Office 2000, Corel WordPerfect and
other file formats. Applixware Office will be sold at an MSRP of
U.S. $99.”
