NetworkManager 1.4.2 is now the most advanced stable version of the popular software project used by default in almost all GNU/Linux distributions, and it comes five weeks after the release of NetworkManager 1.4.0, which was a major milestone bringing numerous exciting new features and improvements. However, NetworkManager 1.4.2 is a bugfix release, which means that it attempts to resolve many of the issues reported by users since NetworkManager 1.4.0. According to the release notes, the new version improves the bash autocompletion, and restores the checking of JSON syntax when building the software with Jansson support.
