“There is an accusation making the rounds that VMware ESX Server
has an issue with the GPL because of the way the product blends
Linux with proprietary (closed source) components. After looking
into this for a couple of days, I don’t buy it. That said, this
argument playing out in various blogs brings up some points that
are worth discussing.
