WebRTC is an emerging open source platform that delivers a Real-Time Communications (RTC) stack.

To date, much of the discussion surrounding WebRTC has revolved around its implementation in web browsers, including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, but that’s not the whole story. WebRTC also has relevance beyond the browser and is now a key technology that is enabling VoIP vendor Vonage’s mobile aspirations.
