BW: Caldera Systems Reports 2nd Quarter Results, Revenue Increase of 150 % Over Second Quarter 1999

“Caldera Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CALD), a leading provider of
Linux eBusiness Internet Solutions, Monday reported revenues of
$1.4 million for the quarter ended April 30, 2000, a 150% increase
over revenues of $544,000 for the comparable quarter of the
previous fiscal year and 146% higher than first quarter revenues of
$553,000.”

For the six months ended April 30, 2000, revenues were $1.9
million compared to $1.1 million for the previous fiscal year, an
increase of 77%.

“The company reported a net loss attributed to common
stockholders for the second quarter of fiscal 2000 of $9.2 million
or $0.32 per share compared with $1.8 million or $0.11 per share
for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.”
