“Developers of Chinese applications for the Linux platform are
gathering in Beijing this week to greet the arrival of the new
edition of TurboLinux.
“Version 4.0 of the Chinese-language operating system will
feature a number of important enhancements, chief of which will be
the upgrade of its kernel to the current version 2.2.9.
“The announcement is expected to draw some of China’s leading
local and international Linux developers, including heavyweight
TurboLinux partners Oracle, IBM and HP.”
