“As the LinuxWorld Expo came to a close in New York City this
week, computer book and operating system publisher Macmillan USA,
Inc. announced that it has released the latest version of its
distribution of the Linux open-source operating system.

Macmillan Deluxe Linux-Mandrake 7.0 offers, on top of its
graphical tools for installation and disk partitioning, a new
graphical utility that enables simplified configuration of hardware
devices.
The product also includes the Sun StarOffice suite,
the Corel WordPerfect 8 Lite product, and other applications.

‘Macmillan’s goal is to continue to help cultivate and grow the
Linux community by bringing Deluxe Linux-Mandrake 7.0 and other
Linux educational products to the retail shelf,’ said Macmillan USA
vice president Lynn Zingraf. ‘This product is part of Macmillan’s
family of Linux software and publications, catered to serve both
new and experienced Linux users.’ “
