Savannah is the GNU Project’s answer to Git Hub. It is a source code repository that, like it’s more well know brethren, provides software developers a space on the web, where they can develop, maintain, and distribute their software programs. It’s built on top of technologies that are 100% committed to free software principles, including the GNU operating system and Savane, a web-based code repository hosting system. It boasts over 60,000 registered users and hosts more than 3,500 free software projects, including 434 official GNU projects.
