reinvigorating GNOME development and reflects upon the idea of
delivering yet another ‘desktop system’ to the market. I’m not
going to comment on the GNOME parts of his blog (I’m not really
appropriately positioned to do so), but I do want to comment on
this (and unfortunately his blog doesn’t seem to allow
comments?):“‘GNOME 2.0 and KDE 4 are bad models for change. They rewrote
and broke the code, but from a user-goals perspective, they are the
same thing as before. [..] The fact is that people already have a
