Lantronix Launches PremierWave EN to Enable Secure Wireless
Communication of Vital Data

High Performance Embedded Device Server Running on IPv6 Ready
Linux OS, Reduces Cost and Shortens Development Time for Medical,
Industrial and Telematics Customers

Lantronix (NASDAQ: LTRX), a leading global provider of smart
connectivity solutions that enable access to any device, anywhere,
anytime, today announced the official launch of its PremierWave EN?
embedded Linux wireless device server. The module allows design
engineers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to easily add
intelligent, wireless Ethernet networking to any device.

When incorporated within an OEM product, the PremierWave EN’s
secure, high-quality wireless connectivity enables businesses
across a variety of different industries to securely transmit
medical, financial, customer or other important information across
corporate networks. The module allows customers to leverage the
many advantages offered by the dual band 802.11 a/b/g/n standard,
including network load balancing and traffic segmentation.

“As businesses seek to aggressively build out their wireless
infrastructures to support device connectivity, manufacturers seek
to minimize engineering risk, reduce time to market, and reduce
development costs,” said Paul Pishal, vice president of product
management at Lantronix. “Our PremierWave EN module provides the
flexibility required by OEMs, coupled with support for a range of
physical interfaces, security standards, and certification
pre-approval. Lantronix has taken care of the ‘heavy lifting’,
enabling our customers to focus on their core competencies, saving
them time and money.”

PremierWave EN offers a potent combination of performance and
low power via its 32-bit ARM9 processor in a very compact
footprint. It is built on an embedded Linux operating system and
includes Lantronix’ award winning device server application.
Lantronix’ proprietary SmartRoam technology ensures uninterrupted
connectivity between wireless networks, improving reliability.
PremierWave EN also supports a variety of standards and protocols,
including IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n, 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks,
module approval in several countries, and industry security
standards including AES, SSL, TLS, and SSH. The module’s included
VIP Access? ensures secure remote access to equipment, even if it
is behind a corporate firewall.
