“Although based on Linux, CUE does not appear to be compliant
with the Genivi Alliance’s Genivi spec, as are the recently
announced MontaVista Automotive Technology Platform (ATP) or Mentor
Embedded Linux In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Base Platform
stacks.Whereas those platforms target the Intel Atom as well as
Cortex-A8 and -A9 processors, CUE instead adopts the older ARM11
architecture. The unnamed system on chip (SoC) is said to include
three cores, each of which operates at 400 MIPS. The processor is
3.5 times faster than existing console computer systems, according
to Cadillac, which didn’t offer specific comparisons.
