“Never heard of the Information Foundation? While the company
has been operating in Denver since 1984, not many have. But they
hope the Linux community gets to know them–very, very well.”
“The behind-the-scenes company has unveiled its line of Linux
and Open Source corporate solutions with a new Web site, a
different look and a new name–Kaivo. “We basically re-launched the
company,” said Brian Cabral, Kaivo CEO.”
“Kaivo, an ancient Finnish word meaning “source,” was
the name chosen for the new site to honor Linux’s creator, Finn
Linus Torvalds. Kaivo is a “marketplace and professional
services company dedicated to educating the business community on
the advantages of Open Source technologies and helping them
implement those solutions.”
