The Atlanta Linux Showcase (ALS) is pleased to announce that the
proceeds from the benefit dinner and T-Shirt sales will go to the
Pediatric Oncology Group to help fund their efforts in children’s
cancer research. The benefit dinner takes place Friday evening,

“The benefit dinner is an integral part of the annual Atlanta
Linux Showcase technical conference and exhibition that in the past
has helped to fund deserving Linux community organizations. This
year’s dinner features a repeat appearance by Peter H. Salus,
author of _A Quarter Century of UNIX_ and editorial director of
SSC. He will be joined by Jim Gettys, Phil Hughes, Jon “maddog”
Hall, and a surprise guest, to revel the audience with tales of war
and heroes from the early days of UNIX(TM). Tickets may be
purchased on the ALS registration web page or at on-site
registration for $30.00.”
