LinuxPR: IntraLinux to offer free web-based email service.

IntraLinux, Inc. today announced that it is sponsoring a
free e-mail service for the Open Source community.
The free
e-mail service is available through one of the IntraLinux web sites
www.intralinux.net.”

“The free e-mail is being announced in conjunction with the
IntraLinux, Inc. “disturbance” planned in the street outside the
Moscone Center Windows 2000 event in San Francisco on February 17,
2000. “The Linux and Open Source communities have given so much to
the world and to our enterprise,” says CEO Randy Stockton, “that we
wanted to give something back in the same cooperative spirit. To
our knowledge, this is one of the first Linux-specific free email
services to be offered.”

“At the Windows 2000 launch, IntraLinux, Inc. is trying to help
the business community see the strategic value of open source
solutions while bringing some clean fun into a rather serious and
conservative exposition. IntraLinux representatives will be handing
out free penguin peppermints, stuffed penguins and
Linuxä information, along with
information on the free email product. The web-based product will
let users set up email names for themselves along the lines of
joe@intralinux.net.”
