“2000-NuSphere, provider of NuSphere MySQL, the leading packaged
software product for the open source database marketplace,
announced today that it will host Polycon’s MySQL open source
database training seminar from November 13-17 at the NuSphere
corporate office in Bedford, Mass. This is the first official
MySQL training session to be held in North America.”
“The Polycon Official MySQL Training Program was developed
jointly between Polycon AB and Michael “Monty” Widenius, chief
technology officer of MySQL AB of Sweden and other MySQL Core Team
members. The program is designed to build a full-fledged set of
MySQL courses and seminars, on par with courses that exist for
commercial databases, such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase or
DB2.”
“This MySQL training session is a great opportunity for
developers in North America to advance their MySQL skills and
discuss new techniques with key members of the open source database
community,” said D. Britton Johnston, chief technology officer at
NuSphere. “NuSphere is honored to bring the developers from Polycon
to the United States for this inaugural training session. We hope
it’s the first of many.”
