“ID-PRO AG will offer Red Hat Training throughout
Germany”

“Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of Open Source Software,
and ID-PRO, one of the leading providers of professional services
centered on LINUX and Open Source Software in Germany, have agreed
on an extensive cooperation in the field of LINUX training and
certification, the spokesmen of both companies announced on
Wednesday (3 May). ID-PRO Training GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary
of ID-PRO AG, will offer the official Red Hat courses, ranging from
basic introductions to authorized training for the Red Hat
Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam, throughout Germany. Courses will
begin in Bonn, Frankfurt and Munich in mid-2000. In the second half
of the year, the training curriculum will also be available at
venues in the Ruhr area, Berlin and Hamburg.”

“Competent training and a demanding, reliable certification of
expert personnel is crucial for the success of the free operating
system GNU/LINUX in a professional environment,” said Daniel Riek,
chairman of the board of ID-PRO AG. “Red Hat’s certification
programme provides a qualification standard accepted by LINUX
experts and employers.” In this context, Berno Janßen, the
managing director of ID-PRO Training, is convinced of the success
of Red Hat certification in Germany, in particular. “LINUX is
already deployed by numerous enterprises. Without any doubt, the
internet is an important playing field, and due to its increasing
importance for medium-sized enterprises, the demand for qualified
personnel is enormous.”
