“Why not use the Linux kernel as the basis of OS X? I think
Apple would ship way more boxes running Linux than OS X
server.”

“After all, Apple is primarily a hardware company in terms of
revenue. They could customize the interface, simplify the install,
and improve the networking set up so that the Apple PPC Linux
servers could seamlessly connect windows and Mac clients.”
