“It’s been called slow. It’s been called disorganized. It’s been
called too much Netscape Communications Corp. and too little open
source.
But now this year-old open-source software movement, spun from
Netscape to take the Navigator and Communicator browser code into
the open-source community, would like the world to know that
Mozilla is back on track. There are new organizers, and they say
they want to take the high road in response to recent
criticism.
And Mozilla also would like the world to know that someone has,
indeed, come out with a browser based upon its Gecko rendering
engine. … only one problem: It isn’t Netscape.”
