PC Week: Sun-Netscape Alliance readies enterprise server upgrade

“The Sun-Netscape Alliance announced today it will release in
early March the iPlanet Web Server, Enterprise Edition 4.1,
formerly the Netscape Enterprise Server.”

“The latest upgrade includes support for the Java 2 platform
(including JavaServer Pages 1.1 and Java Servlets 2.2) and the
Linux operating system….“

“The alliance also announced today it will make available in
early May a developer’s edition of the Web server, called the
iPlanet Web Server, FastTrack Edition 4.1. The lighter weight
edition will contain all the core application development and
administrative features of the Enterprise Edition.”
