“One of the things lacking on Linux is breadth of native
commercial games. With the support of ID and occasionally outfits
such as Atari or BioWare this is slowly changing. But what about
old Windows games where there really isn’t any financial reward for
creating a port? Games that are getting a bit long in the tooth or
who’s makers don’t see the viability of adding on another supported
platform? That’s where emulating (or re-implementing) the host
enviroment that the game was created for with Cedega (or WINE)
comes in…”
