Job Description and Qualifications

This job involves day to day maintenance of all internal Red Hat
computing systems. It also involves many other systems including
telephones, printing, etc. The applicant must have good
communication skills to be able to deal directly with other Red Hat
staff members to fix problems that arise in day to day
situations.
The perfect candidate will have experience with Linux (or a
Linux-like operating system) from an administrators perspective.
The more experience, the better. Preferred qualifications
include:
– – – Bachelor’s degree
– – – 2 years experience in system administration under *nix
– – – Ability to work in a team environment
– – – experience with Perl, Bourne shell scripting, etc
– – – experience maintaining internet services such as web
servers, FTP servers, mail servers, etc
The positions are in RTP, North Carolina, and will be available
soon. If you’re not familiar with NC, the area is close to the
center of the state. RTP is at the center of Durham (home of Duke
University), Chapel Hill (home of UNC), and Raleigh (the capital of
NC and home of NCSU).
