[ Thanks to Bill

“One of the most powerful applications available for Linux
is the Gimp; a graphics editor that has been likened to PhotoShop.
Gimp stands for the “GNU Image Manipulation Program”.

“SSC (publishers of the Linux Journal) did a nice job on the
book; it is printed on glossy stock and the (many) screen captures
are sharp and clear.”

“The Artists’ Guide to the Gimp” is an excellent manual for the
Gimp.”

“It is possible to use the Gimp without buying a book on it; but
time is money, and you will likely save a lot of time by getting
this book; it has found a permanent place on my bookshelf.”
