Various Linux Today updates

We’ve had some changes that are worth mentioning:

We now have a backend text file
for LinuxPR.com, and a jobs backend for the
LT jobs site. Also check
out our backend
directory
, where you can find an assortment of text files that
you can use to display Linux Today content on your own website.

Also, we have two new mailing lists, one for
LinuxPR press releases, and one for job postings. These are daily
update lists that are sent out every night with the headlines from
the previous day. Handy if you don’t have time to check the website
every day.

Linux Today will be exhibiting at the ZD Open Source
Forum
conference in Austin, TX, this June 30th and July 1st
(expect a nifty new feature for Linux Today to be announced around
the time of this show), and will also be exhibiting at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo
in San Jose, CA this August.

Our web traffic continues to climb at a steep rate. Recently we
upgraded our
hardware
, this time splitting our services across multiple
boxes. The next step will to be doing some sort of load balancing
with 3 or 4 front-line webservers and 1 database server.

Finally, we’ve signed on several new Linux Today sponsors
recently. A special thanks goes out to all of our advertisers who believe
in Linux and Linux Today by ensuring that we can continue to bring
you the news every day.
